Greetings!

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in the National Auxiliary. We are a philanthropic group that is united through our affiliation with the graduates of Loma Linda University School of Medicine. It is our task to raise funds for clinics and hospitals that serve the underserved, to provide funding for scholarships, and to offer other means of tangible assistance for the medical students. But while doing this work, we take time to further fellowship with each other and with the medical students.

Forever Young - In Mind, In Body, and In Spirit -that is our theme this year at the National Auxiliary. During APC, Dan Buettner reminded us that those who follow the lifestyle exemplified at Loma Linda do remain younger than their peers, physically, mentally and spiritually. This year we want to celebrate the fact that no matter how many birthdays we have to our credit we can remain fresh, alive, and open to new experiences, challenges, and adventures!

This year we will again celebrate the adventure of missions- we will hear stories of School of Medicine graduates serving in Africa and around the world. We will also celebrate opportunities and challenges for service closer to home. Our first big celebration will be a long weekend 100th Birthday Party together with the School of Medicine on October 28-31.

Now, how can a 100 year old School of Medicine still be young? (How old is that in people years anyway?) Come to the Centennial Celebration to see a School which is still growing. A tour of the new Centennial Complex will amaze you! You will not want to miss any of the Centennial events, but especially plan to join us at the National Auxiliary Luncheon celebrating the history of the founding of the School of Medicine on Thursday, October 29. We will have a special visit from Rita Hoshino as Ellen White, sharing the excitement and struggles of the beginning of this school.

While we know that the founders never expected the school, or the world, to last this long, I believe that we can best honor them and the School of Medicine by living our lives abundant in service, to the glory and honor of God, and in doing so we will remain - Forever Young!

With God’s Blessings,

Merle Hildebrand
